Etar Museum - a living picture of a bygone era! When you step within the boundaries of the only open-air ethnographic museum in Bulgaria, you find yourself in a world different from the modern one - the world of the Revival Bulgarians.
Two museum houses are open for visitors at the Architectural and historical reserve Bozhentsi - Baba Rayna House-Museum and Doncho Popa House-Museum, which present ethnographic expositions, Mengema - a wax purification workshop, a monastery school, an exhibition hall in the New School and Exhibition Hall in the Old School.
The Uzana area is the widest ridge meadow in the Balkan Mountains. It is surrounded by centuries-old beech forests, in some places raised by hills and cut by many paths and roads. Its area is about 3000 acres.
Tryavna is a town in Central Bulgaria, located on the northern slopes of Stara Planina, in the valley of the Tryavna River, near Gabrovo. It is famous for its textile industry and typical Revival architecture, including 140 cultural monuments, obligatory and exhibitions.
